Adriatic Discovery 2023 (Split - Dubrovnik)

DAY 1 Split
Your adventure begins with a transfer to your vessel from the airport, where embarkation begins at 14:00hrs. Join a guided sightseeing tour and discover the unique town of Split. Tonight, meet your fellow travellers at a Welcome Reception dinner on board. D

DAY 2 Split - Hvar
This morning, cruise towards Hvar, one of the longest and sunniest of Croatia's islands. Enjoy a refreshing swim stop on the way at one of the crystal clear coves and bays. Continue sailing to the town of Stari Grad on located the northern side of Hvar island. On arrival you will have some free time to explore the town at your own pace. Perhaps takes a short drive to Hvar Town which your cruise manager can help you organise (at own expense). Later in the afternoon, embark on a trip to the agricultural masterpiece of Stari Grad Plain which has remained virtually intact since it was created by ancient Greek colonist in the 4th century BC. At this UNESCO World Heritage listed site you will have an opportunity to witness a beautiful sunset, delight on the local delicacies and feast on a traditional ‘Peka’ dinner at the Hora estate - all this whilst being surrounded by lush olive groves and fields of lavender. DAY 3 Hvar - Vis
Continue your journey southwards to the island of Vis whilst enjoying breakfast. Along the way you will have an opportunity for a refreshing swim stop at the Paklinski islands. Lunch will also be served on board. Closed to the public until 1989, Vis has remained relatively untouched by tourism and development and so therefore has retained much of its charm and natural beauty. Spend an afternoon at leisure to experience this first hand, whether its visiting the Archaeological Museum or taking a leisurely stroll along the seaside promenade where most of the bars and restaurants are located. DAY 4 Vis - Bisevo - Korcula
Your first stop today will be the spectacular Blue Cave on the island of Bisevo. The cave’s natural underwater entrance creates a magical deep blue light that engulfs the interior. After, cruise towards the island of Korcula and enjoy lunch and a swim stop en-route. In the afternoon arrive in Korcula Town for a walking tour that will take you through the narrow, cobblestone streets. Learn all about the interesting stories and legends of this town including tales on the life of Marco Polo. BL

Please note: The Blue Cave is only accessible with small boats through an entrance just 1.5m high so unfortunately it can easily be made inaccessible by bad weather and high waves.

DAY 5 Korcula - Mljet
Early in the morning cruise to the island of Mljet, famous for its stunning National Park and densely forested landscape. Anchor in the town of Pomena from where a visit to Mljet National Park is planned. Discover the park's two turquoise lakes, Veliko Jezero and Malo Jezero, meaning Great Lake and Little Lake. Board a small boat and visit the islet of St. Mary to see the Benedictine Monastery built during the 12th century. This evening enjoy a Captain’s dinner aboard the ship. BLD

DAY 6 Mljet - Slano
Today you depart for Slano, a small town along the Dubrovnik Riviera that's situated in a 2km long bay. After a swim stop along the way, arrive in Slano to start your gourmet adventure. Travel to Ston, the gastronomic centre of the country and visit an oyster farm where you'll learn how oyster and mussels are cultivated in this region. You will even have the opportunity to sample local wine and oysters sourced directly from the sea! wine tasting under the shade of the trees. Return back to the ship in the late afternoon where you will have the evening free to relax and enjoy a Dalmatian sunset. Your cruise manager will be at hand to assist with restaurant recommendations for the night. BL

DAY 7 Slano - Dubrovnik
Cruise to your last port, Dubrovnik also known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic'. Lunch will be served on board before disembarking on a guided sightseeing tour of the UNESCO protected Old Town. The remainder of the day is free for you to further explore. Add a visit along the ‘Stradum’, the completely pedestrianised main street in Old Town where you’re sure to find plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants to try out. You’ll soon see why it’s easy to lose yourself within the ancient city walls that has protected the former republic for centuries. BL

DAY 8 Dubrovnik
After breakfast, say farewell as you disembark and meet your departure transfer to the airport. B
